A Wireless N WiFi repeater works by connecting to your home router and amplifying the WiFi signal to extend coverage in areas with weak or no signal. Whether you're setting up the repeater in Repeater mode or Access Point (AP) mode, the following instructions will guide you through the process, with both Manual and WPS methods explained.
Modes of Operation for the Wireless N WiFi Repeater
- Repeater Mode: This is the default mode, where the repeater wirelessly connects to your router and extends the network signal.
- AP Mode: In this mode, the repeater is connected to the router via a wired Ethernet connection, creating a new WiFi network.
- Important Note: Regardless of the mode you choose, you must access the URL http://myrepeater.net for setup, except when using the WPS method.

- Input the repeater's security settings and change the encryption standard to WPA2.
- Remember, you must connect the repeater to the router using an Ethernet cable for AP mode.
Setting Up the Wireless N WiFi Repeater Using WPS
The WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) method is the simplest way to connect your repeater. Here's how to do it:
- Place the Wireless N repeater near your main router.
- Restart the router.
- Power on the repeater.
- Find the WPS button on the repeater and press it.
- Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router.
